Quick enrollment

Applied for Florida Teachers of Tomorrow. The process was fast. Got my confirmation email right away. Seems like a good start.

Decent program, minor issues

I signed up for the Michigan Teachers of Tomorrow program, specifically for Secondary Education Certification. The online coursework for the Online Certification Courses is pretty thorough, and I liked that I could go at my own pace. Customer service was generally responsive when I had questions about my Field Supervisor Coaching. However, the website did glitch a couple of times when I was trying to upload documents, which was a bit frustrating. It eventually worked, but it took a few tries. Overall, it's a solid pathway to certification, and I appreciate the flexibility.

Good value for certification

I was looking for the most affordable way to get my Elementary Education Certification. I checked out a few places, but Teachers of Tomorrow had a free application offer running when I looked. That saved me some money upfront, which was a big plus for my budget. The overall program cost for the Intern Teaching Program seemed reasonable compared to university options I saw. So far, it feels like I'm getting good value for what I paid. Happy with the decision to go with them given the savings.

Smooth process, good support

I enrolled in the Texas Teachers of Tomorrow program last month. The online application was straightforward, and I used a seasonal enrollment promo which saved me a bit on the initial fee. After applying, I had a few questions about the TExES Test Prep materials. I called their support line and got through to a real person pretty quickly. They were helpful and walked me through accessing the resources. Delivery of the initial study guides was digital, instant, which was good. I'm still in the early stages, but so far the content for Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities seems well-organized. It feels like a solid foundation for getting certified, no major hitches.

Does anyone know if military spouses get any kind of discount? Saw something about military but wasn't sure if it extends to families.

S Sam Garcia 2 weeks ago
I'm pretty sure they have a military discount. You should ask them directly, sometimes they have specific ones for spouses too.

My friend who is a veteran got a discount, so I'd imagine they'd have something for spouses too. Worth checking their site or calling.

Is Teachers of Tomorrow legit? Saw some mixed reviews online and wondering if it's a real way to get certified or just a scam.

P Paul Young 1 week ago
Yeah it's legit, tons of people use it. My district hires people from them all the time. It's an alternative pathway, not a traditional university degree, so it's different but still approved.

Totally legit. I got my Texas certification through them a few years ago. It's state-approved, just do your research for your specific state to be sure.

how does this compare to iTeach? I'm torn between the two for Texas certification.

M Michelle Brown 1 month ago
I looked at iTeach too. ToT felt more structured for me, and they had better support when I was doing my clinical teaching. YMMV though.

ToT is bigger, so sometimes the support can feel a little less personal than a smaller program. But they have way more resources for test prep and stuff in my opinion.

Found a promo code for a 'free application'. Does that mean I don't pay anything at all to start, or is there still some fee later?

S Susan Williams 1 week ago
Usually, 'free application' just waives the initial application fee, like $100 or whatever it normally is. You'll still have program tuition later, that's separate.

Yeah, it's just the application fee. The main program cost comes after you get accepted and start the actual coursework.

Anyone know if they have payment plans? The cost upfront looks a bit much for me right now.

S Sean H. 4 weeks ago
Yep, they do! I'm on one now, makes it way more manageable. You pay a bit upfront then monthly.

B Brian Garcia 3 weeks ago
They definitely have payment options, don't worry. I think I did a low initial payment and then spread the rest out over several months.

Hey everyone, thinking about doing the Florida program. How long did it actually take you guys to get certified? Trying to plan things out.

B Brandon King 1 month ago
It really depends on how fast you get through the tests and stuff. I did it in about 8 months total for elementary, but I was pretty focused.

Mine was closer to a year and a half, but I was working full time and took my sweet time with the content exams. You can definitely go faster if you push it.

Can I actually teach while going through the program? Like, get a job as an intern teacher?

M Megan D. 2 weeks ago
100%. That's how most people do it. You get a job as an intern, and that's your field experience requirement.

S Sofia 2 weeks ago
Yeah, that's basically the whole point for a lot of people! You teach and get paid while finishing your certification stuff. Just make sure your state allows it.
